Cool is a picturesque town in El Dorado County, located on historic Highway 49, between Auburn and Coloma. Cool CA is relatively close to major cities such as, Auburn, Roseville, and Placerville.

Residents of Cool enjoy an active, close-knit community. Cool sponsers many year round activities such as the Cool Bike Race, and Way Too Cool Marathon. Horseback riders, joggers and bike riders enjoy the many trails throughout Cool. World famous river rafting can be enjoyed in nearby Coloma.

Cool CA has a population of about 2,700 people. There is one school, Northside Elementary and Middle School serving students from grades K-8.
